Nothing but scraps!

Happy MLK day! I hope for those of you with the day off you enjoy your families today & if u are in the north east you make sure to bundle up- winter is finally here & it's freezing!

Attached you will find another holiday card I made using several pieces of holiday scraps. Sadly, somehow during the rushed holiday season I missed my dear doorman (and I'm sure a bunch more people).

Anyway I made this card for him & hope he likes it ;)

Its very simple but I think adding the glitter gives it enough pop that i really didn't need more stuff. Plus since my recepient is male- less is more!

Happy Crafting!

Birthday Cards created for my class

One of my favorite things is teaching classes regarding Scrap booking or Card Making.
I love thinking "outside of the box" for ways in using close to my heart product or even other scraps I have accumulated. Regardless I always find it fun sharing my original designs.

Below find 2 cards I made for one of my classes. I've included both a female & male general birthday card.

This card uses the :
  • Close to my Heart (CTMH) Unforgettable lvl 2 paper pack.
  • CTMH card stock in: Desert Sand, Sorbet, & Vanilla cream card stock
  • CTMH ink colors: Cocoa & Sorbet
  • CTMH stamp set: Aspiration stamp set
  • Generic jumbo circle & scallop punch.
  • Plus a bit of CTMH cocoa grosgrain ribbon.

This card is one of my most favorite guy cards. And it's so super simple to make.
I used:
  • CTMH Game On lvl 2 paper pack
  • CTMH card stock in: Desert Sand & Colonial White
  • Stampin up punch (Shhhh....our little secret ; )
  • Plus a bit of CTMH white grosgrain ribbons & gold star brads.

happy scrapin!

And so it begins......

So this blog has been on the making for like ever. But as full time corp employee, mom of a 3 yr old & part time ctmh consultant it's been just a smidge difficult to find the time... where does it go? However I made myself resolve that this new year I would start blogging.

So how did I become a scrapalcoholic? We'll my princess is the reason I opened my pandora box of paper crafting. 3+ years ago when I started planning her 1st huge birthday party (cup cake themed, of course) I could not find the "right" invitation. Several trips to some of my fav stores (kate's papiere, target, & acmoores) and several dollars spent - I created my vision of her invitation. (see image above)

I was not only so proud of this invite but I also enjoyed every minute of making all of them.

Fast forward to today- I'm a close to my heart independent consultant, I lie to my husband about my craft expenditures all the time, and I'm even enable my friends...

But seriously- scrapbooking & cardmaking is my creative outlet with dealing with my crazy life. And I hope you all enjoy me taking you through my creative journey.
